Well good morning friends. Today I'm in the Brisbane Botanical Gardens at Gardens Point. I'm just walking through the rainforest area. What is now the city centre used to be very thick rainforest just like this before it was settled. This is a nice little remnant left here as part of a walk I'm doing around the city today doing a city walk.

The smoke has cleared now. There was a lot of smoke this morning inland. All the rain from the past few years has caused a huge amount of grass growth and this year has been really dry again going back into the dry cycle and a lot of grass fuel for fires generated from the thunderstorms. There is a lot of bush burning inland and a lot of the smoke is making it out here to the coast now. It looks like it has cleared and turning out to be a really nice day today for exploring the rainforest.

I'm going to keep walking around the city. Thanks friends for joining with me again today and I'll catch you somewhere else next time. Until then, ciao for now.
