Well good morning friends. Today I'm back on the Torrens River about eighteen kilometres upstream from the city at a place called Athelstone. This is at the start of the Adelaide Hills just behind me there. This is the end of the gorge coming out of the hills. I'm going to do the first part of the trek which goes down the path then downstream for eighteen to twenty kilometres down to the city. About thirty five kilometres downstream from here is the sea. Another day here I'll do from the city centre down to the beach in the lower part of this trail. Today I'm just doing the upper part. This is pretty much the trailhead up here. From here I head downstream. This is another exciting day exploring Adelaide.
I'm now half way with ten kilometres to the city and ten kilometres back to where I started. This is a twenty kilometre track. The river is a bit wider and more full of water now. There's just ten kilometres to go to the city.
I'm just coming into the city now crossing one of the bridges not far from where I started and finished yesterday. Today I started up there, you can probably just see the Adelaide Hills up there about twenty kilometres upstream. I started from the hills and followed the river downstream. This is where I have ended up with the city just over there. I would say this hase been a total twenty two kilometre walk today. This is probably the longest walk I'll do this whole trip.
