Hello friends. I'm now back beside the river and as you can see behind me there is quite a massive crowd here. It is New Years eve and the sun is about to set fairly soon. There will be two lots of fireworks tonight. The first will be a nine o'clock. I've just checked the sunset data and that will be a few minutes before civil twilight ends and nautical twilight begins. The sky will still have some lightness in it and a bit blue so that will be very interesting as I've never filmed fireworks when the sky is still blue. Then there will be the main fireworks at midnight. I've been scouting along the river and I think a bit further back there will be the best place because I can see all the barges out there with the fireworks on them and I want to get a good view with the city as well. So here goes.

I've set everything up now. There is another fifteen minutes before it starts. The camera is all set up now for some good shots.
