EXPLORING Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast, it was an unusually rainy day at the start of what is normally the dry season in subtropical Queensland. For much of the day the clouds obscurred the towering glass high rises of Surfer's Paradise, but for a few moments in between squalls, the clouds cleared enough for a clear view of the city.
