Introduction to today's journey
Today's journey starts from Dumpling Hut following the track down the length of Arthur River to where it drains into Milford Sound at Sandfly Point. From there I catch a boat across the fiord to the port and head up to my accommodation for the next two nights in Milford Sound village.

Departing Dumpling Hut in the early morning, I trek downstream under damp and overcast skies, but no rain falls. |
