Introduction to today's journey

PHILADELPHIA is a city famous for its rich history being the city in which the consitution of U.S.A. and the declaration of independence were signed in 1776. Although it is now a modern city, much of its history remains perfectly preserved in its old quarter. The city is surrounded by the rich farmlands of Pennsylvania, upon which are some of the largest concentrations of the Amish people, an American subculture staunchly holding onto colonial and Christian traditions.

Today's journey takes me out of the New York metropolis starting from Jersey City heading out into the rick pastures of New Jersey, the Garden State, before entering Pennsylvania and heading into Philadelphia. There I explore the history in the old quarter, before going to the Arts Museum famous for its steps outside where the fictional character Rocky Balboa trained. From there we head inland into Lancaster Shire, to the little town of Intercourse, where we seemingly travel far back in time spending the afternoon on an Amish community.
