A FEW kilometres around the coast from Wellington Aiport, the Venture is docked at an old wharf. Bought in the Pacific Islands, taken down to New Zealand, it was modified to be the boat filmed in the latest King Kong movie which I was to see in two days time. Several scale models were made of the ship. Interestingly the original ship never made it on any of the scenes in the final movie. |
