MASON Bay is a very remote beach on the rugged west coast of Stewart Island. It is accessible only by walking track or small plane. I flew across the island in a tiny plane that landed on the beach. From there I hiked through the dunes with my group to a homely hiker's hut where we stayed the night. Blog from today: Trek from today: |
