ON MY last day in South America I took at tour to the port cities of Vina del Mar and Valparaiso. The weather had been fine in Santiago all day, but once I started descending towards the coast I was enveloped by the thick back of hazy cloud that I had seen up the entire length of South America flying down the coast from La Paz yesterday. It was cold and overcast in Vina del Mar. Although thousands of kilometres away from Easter Island, my group was entertained by a couple of dancers under a large Moai. Blogs from today: |
