CRUISING through the maze of channels in the Southern Moreton Bay National Park, we eventually dropped anchor just off Green Bank, between Crusoe Island and Shelter Island to shelter from the strong northerlies forecast overnight.
Storms were rolling past to the south, but here the sky was mostly clear and the wind was quickly dying ready for a peaceful night with the boat gently rocking on its anchorage in the channel with its gently drifting tidal currents as the sun sank beneath the western horizon to make way for the dark moonless night.
