STARTING from Sandstone Point at the entrance of Pumicestone Passage I followed the beach through the mangroves through Beachmere eventually arriving at the mouth of the Caboolture River. The wide channel of the river mouth seemed placid enough, but I could see the destruction along the sandy bank from past floods where large patches of mangrove trees had been torn out and strewn along the sides of the small channels carved out in this ever changing landscape. |
