DOWN at ground level I was experimenting with macro photography from an insect's complex view of the world. The intense sun was almost directly overhead so there wasn't the usual level of insect activity. I found this tiny seedhead less than a centimetre across where half of its seeds had already blown away in the gentle sea breeze. The seeds on the other half of the seedhead were ready to disperse at the next gust of wind. |
