A BEAUTIFUL soft sunrise greeted me on the golden shores at the Mabon Resort giving a few moments of peaceful tranquility preceding a busy day exploring the east coast.
From the resort we headed into Hamhung where we visited the local fertiliser factory, the Hamhung Grand Square and the home of Ri Son Gye before heading down the coast to Wonsan where we visited the Sondowan International Children's Union Camp and an old railway station, and took a stroll down a long pier joining the mainland to the tiny Chok Islet.
