TAKEN in the evening, I cranked up the ISO to 2500 on a 30 second exposure letting in as much light as possible. Although few stars were visible with the unaided eye and the sky being washed out by the moon at its first quarter, and the light pollution from the city, the camera beautifully picked up the Milky Way.
The moonlight coming from behind me illuminated the house and the trees just enough to blend them in very well with the stars.
I wondered how these settings would do on a moonless night out in the country away from the city.
