A VERY early start watching the moon set over Lake Currimundi before starting the coastal track above the beaches and over the headlands into Caloundra.
I stopped here at Coondibah Creek as the first light of morning came into view through the sweeping clouds. The pounding waves built a sand barrier turning the lower reaches of the creek into a still lagoon over which the track crosses on a sturdy bridge, allowing the perfectly clear 30 second shots of the lightening sky.
