Shorncliffe Pier

HEADING to Shorncliffe Pier hoping to catch the edge of a thunderstorm which never came, I was instead rewarded by a brightly coloured sunset as numerous people had fishing lines cast off the pier into the dark water.

The pier has in recent years been restored after nearly crumbling into the ocean. Once the ferry terminus across to the Redcliffe Peninsula, it now functions purely for recreational walking and fishing.
