Well good afternoon friends. I'm about to do a little walk along the Brisbane River just up at around the Jindalee area. But before that I'm here in Milton just outside one of the big piano shops here. It's time to upgrade my keyboard that I've had for 12-13 years. Well friends I've picked up a really nice digital piano. The technology is amazing. The one I've got has the action very closely modelled to a Bechstein grand piano. It has the sounds (sampled) from the Bechstein, Bossendorfer, Steinway and others. So anyway it's just a matter of getting it delivered in the next week or so. Today is the last day with this nice little keyboard which I've had for a good 12 years. It's served me very nicely with a nice sound and everything including strings. It's starting to fall apart. The speakers are starting to get a little bit rattly and also this note (Ab6) doesn't work anymore. All the other notes are fine but this one's falling apart. So today I'll put this one into retirement and soon the new piano is coming. I think I'll just play one last little tune on it. Yes. That's it. Now it's time to put it into retirement. Well here we are all set up. I've got to go through and fine tune this to exactly the right (custom) settings but it is sounding pretty amazing as it is now. |
