Well good morning friends again. Today I'm coming from the start of the Cooloola Wilderness Trail. Overnight I have come up from Gympie about 50 kilometres heading towards Rainbow Beach which is about 20 kilometres from here. So I've come up from Gympie to the northern end of the Cooloola Wilderness Trail. I have never been on this trail before. The southern end of the trail is closed with the Kin Kin bridge out at the moment. This is a nice quiet little trail heading towards the Noosa River. Today I'm going to be doing the first part of this track up to Neebs Waterhole about 8.8 kilometres away at the start of the Noosa Everglade. What I'm planning to do is to head out to the waterholes which is the source of the Noosa River. From there the track continues through the everglade towards the other campsites at Wandi Waterhole and Harry's Point, so at some stage I'm looking at starting at the other end at Elanda which is near Booreen Point where I stayed a few weeks ago now. From there you can hike all the way up to here. I'm looking at doing this first part of the track today because in a future trip I will be going to Cooloola Way from Elanda Point and following that track up to Rainbow Beach missing this section. So today I'll just go to Neeb's Waterhole about 9 kilometres in, then I'll come back out tonight. I'm just going to have a look because I'm not sure if I will be up this way again and do want to do the full track. Anyway come join with me as I explore this amazing spot in the Cooloola Wilderness.

Well friends. I've now reached the end of the track and the rain has just started. It had been forecast for much of the day but it has only just started falling now. So that's good timing. I made it up to Neeb's Waterhole and had a good couple of hours rest there before coming back. Thanks friends for joining me again today and I hope you enjoyed it.
