I START the day watching the sunrise from the beach at Bellara near the southern end of Bribie Island. The sun rose almost behind me, but this gave a great opportunity in photographing a reverse sunrise over the bridge and calm waters of the Pumicestone Passage.
One the sun has risen, I follow the path along the edge of Pumicestone Passage, passing under the bridge before heading into the Bellara town centre and continue northward through the Bibimulya Wetlands going around the lagoon in the early morning sunlight. Upon reaching the other side I follow the roads up to the Community Arts Centre and back into the town centre.
I decide to head up to the southern end of the Sunshine Coast at the other end of the Pumicestone Passage in the late afternoon. I reach Pelican Waters where I discover a new trail that has been constructed through the Lamerough Creek West Environmental Reserve. The track is in great condition following a long billabong until it eventually connects with the canals of Pelican Waters. Upon reaching the end of the track I continue following the path along the canals as the sun sets across the water.
It is not long after sunset when I reach the Pumicestone Passage at Military Wharf. From there I capture the last of the dusk before completing the circuit.
