WELL good morning friends. Today I'm on the Postmans Track at the edge of Lake Samsonvale up near Dayboro. I'm just doing the middle track at the moment. I've not done this one before. I've done the other ones around the circuit but not this one. This is quite steep actually being quite a big uphill but I'm near the top. It is a beautiful sunny day today. This is the start of what is going to be a fairly long and sunny winter. I'm just doing a short circuit today because I'm heading home to set up my hydroponics system. About three weeks ago I started planting seeds. I plant one lot of seeds about once a week. The plants from the first seeds are starting to get fairly big and turning into seedlings. It looks like I'm at the top of the hill now. In a few weeks time they will be big enough to be transplanted into the hydroponics system. I've done a fair bit of research on it and I've found a system that I think would work so I'll keep you posted on that. The aim is to plant one lot of seeds each week and then just let them all grow and further down the track in eight to twelve weeks from planting, I'll be able to start eating them and the aim is to never need to buy vegetables again. This is a little side project I've got going. At the moment with the local subtropical winter coming along, now is a really good time for growing. So fingers crossed, let's see what happens. I have grown vegetables before but the climate up here especially when we've had long dry spells doesn't really suit it so I thought I'd try hydroponics this time and see how that works. Hopefully doing it this way will save me a whole lot of watering, making it more efficient. The constant watering will feed the vegetables along with the sunshine, there's plenty of it here. Let's see how it goes. Anyway I've now done the steep hill and heading along the top and it looks like the junction to the main circuit is just up ahead. So from here I'll continue along this very quiet and peaceful morning out here in the bush and then heading home. Thanks friends for joining me again today and I shall catch you somewhere next time.
