WELL hello friends. Today I'm up at Norfolk Lagoon on Bribie Island. I've just done a walk along the beach from Woorim.

Today is raining and I've been able to capture some very interesting patterns on the breaking waves with the sun coming out every so often. I've hiked about three kilometres up the beach and I'm just resting here at Norfolk Lagoon. I was here towards the end of last year on a beautiful sunny day so it is interesting to see it again but under overcast skies. I'm just relaxing here in the quiet away from the noise of the waves before I start to head back. It is still quite green here.

There is still a bit of rain falling at this time of year but there is a very big El Nino coming soon starting this winter apparently so things will really dry out over the next year or two and go back into drought conditions. I'm really glad I've got all this photography done particularly in the hills in the rainforests when it's been quite wet over the past two summers. Anyway I've got to keep making the most of it in these bush areas as it is going to dry out bringing all the bushfires in the coming years.

I see they are in the process of doing a lot of backburning to control the vegetation because a lot of grass has grown over recent years and now it is starting to dry out it's going to leave a huge amount of fuel for fires. There is a lot of bushfire management going on at the moment. Whenever there is a clear day, there is always some sort of bushfire going on at the moment to control things around here to prevent dangerous bushfires happening when it really dries out in late spring to early summer. In the meantime I'm making the most of the bush while it is still pretty green.

Thanks friends for joining me again today and I shall catch you somewhere next time. Ciao for now.
