Good morning friends. Today I'm back in Alice Springs following a long trip yesterday afternoon about five hundred kilometres from Uluru. I'm back in Alice Springs now and this is my final day in the Northern Territory. I'll shortly pack up and head to the airport to fly to Brisbane via Melbourne. It will be quite a long day today with flights back home. I'm just doing one final walk around the town centre this morning with the sun having just risen. It is quite a cool morning again.
Hello friends again. I'm in Alice Springs Airport not far from the town. This is a really small airport this one and quite busy. I'm just about to catch my first flight out to Melbourne on the way home. This is an interesting airport. Just out across the runway there is a large number of planes in storage. This is a really good area to store planes with the very dry climate here. There are planes mostly from Asia, a huge number of them just stored out here.
Well friends I'm back in Brisbane Airport. There was a very tight connection in Melbourne where I had to catch another plane. When I initially booked this I thought I was going to be on the same plane for both legs but I ended up having to walk the whole length of Melbourne Airport. It was quite long but I did very easily make the connecting flight back up here, but my luggage didn't. That will be coming by courier tomorrow, coming on a later flight tonight and the courier will come out tomorrow. Fortunately that's one less thing to carry on the train so it will be a nice quick trip home in the train from here. It's interesting being back home after two and a half weeks out in the Northern Territory outback so this is the end of another trip finished.
