Introduction to today's journey
Today's journey starts with exploring the foreshore at Kirribilli before walking across the Sydney Harbour Bridge to follow the coast around Circular Cay, before heading inland through the Royal Botanical Gardens and Hyde Park to cut across to Darling Harbour. From here I follow the coast to Observation Hill and head into the city centre where I finish the day going up the Sydney Tower.

Today's Journey
I start the morning exploring the peaceful foreshore in Kirribilli and North Sydney. |
A caged in footpath leads along the side of the Sydney Harbour Bridge across the harbour to the city centre. This massive structure contains the world's biggest static bearings. |
Upon reaching the city centre, I head down to The Rocks, with many historic buildings where the first European settlers established their little colony here at Sydney Cove. |
After heading around the very busy Circular Cay, I head into the Royal Botanic Garden exploring its interior heading inland. |
Beyond the end of the gardens, I head into the very British style Hyde Park up to its far end to the Anzac Memorial. |
From the Anzac Memorial, I head westward through the inner city until reaching parkland heading into Darling Harbour. |
Following the wharfs in Darling Harbour, I approach the new Barangaroo development. |
Upon reaching the end of the path, I head up onto Observation Hill, to the old Sydney Observatory where the city's weather station is located. |
Coming down off the hill, I follow George Street with its tram lines in between the massive glass towers. |
Reaching the city centre, I head up the Sydney Tower over 240 metres above the street to have a look up and down the harbour, the left hand side being the headlands I've explored over recent days, and the right hand side being the route I will be exploring tomorrow. |
