Introduction to today's journey
Today's journey takes me from the Bwindi Mountains back out along the rickety mountain road eventually reaching a valley which we follow a highway down to the small city of Mbarara where we settle at the hotel for the night.
Today's Journey
Heading out from the Bwindi Mountains in the early morning, passing the farms and the remains of the forest which once was part of the Congo stretching all the way to Lake Victoria. |
Following the winding road through the mountains before they gradually diminish into a wide rift valley. |
Stopping for lunch at a motel in Mbarara, a town once affected by an ebola outbreak. |
After lunch we head to a nearby hotel where we will be staying the night before returning to Kampala tomorrow. |
With little to explore in the town, we just explore the hotel and rest for the afternoon. |
Some interesting murals and landscaping in the hotel complex. |
An interesting rock garden. |
More landscaping at the hotel. |
A very interesting succulant plant. |
An obscure corner of the hotel. |
