Introduction to today's journey

Today's journey takes me into Chinatown and New York's financial district where I explore Wall Street before walking across the Brooklyn Bridge to Queens, then back into Lower Manhattan where I discover the Men in Black headquarters.

Today's Journey

Exploring the busy Chinatown along The Bowery as I head into Lower Manhattan.

Some actors acting in the streets as often occurs on weekends here in the city. There are quite a few film productions going on throughout the city today. So many films have been shot here that exploring New York has felt like a being in a film set.

Passing the towering high rises with encouraging quotes and interesting scultures as I enter the Lower Manhattan financial district.

The Federal Hall on Wall Street built in 1703. The statue of George Washington stands outside its front at the spot where he was inaugurated as the first president of the United States in 1789. It is now surrounded by grey buildings in probably the word's greyest scene.

The Wall Street Stock Exchange just across from Federal Hall. It's very quiet here as it is the weekend, but normally very busy inside no doubt with much of the world's trading occurring in this small grey building.

A statue on one of the many stone buildings on Broadway which extends diagonally all the way from Central Park to down here in Lower Manhattan.

I head to the nearby Brooklyn Bridge where I cross over East River towards Queens in the distance.

Reaching Queens at the other side of the bridge before turning around and walking back with all teh crowds.

Returning to Lower Manhattan having crossed the crowded bridge again. There are numerous souvenir stalls at this end of the bridge.
