Introduction to today's journey

Today's journey takes me from Honolulu across the island of Oahu to the famous Kualua Ranch where many films have been filmed against the dramatic scenery. I explore much of this area before returning to Honolulu for another spectacular sunset.

Sunrise over Honolulu as steamy rain falls on the mountains behind the city.

Heading across the island of Oahu over the Nu'uanu Pali Saddle between the spectacular volcanic mountains with waterfalls tumbling down their precipitous gullies.

Reaching the Kualoa Ranch on the other side of the island, I join a tour exploring multiple movie set locations.

The flat land under the range at Moli'i Pond near the coast from where numerous movies were shot in this amazing location.

Heading around the other side of the range, we find many more movie spots, including this huge log used in the original Jurassic Park movie during the gallimimus stampede scene.
