Introduction to today's journey

A PRISTINE subtropical coastal swamp is perhaps the last place you would expect to find the world's most significant space port. The Kennedy Space Centre sits in this exact location amongst the swampland of Cape Canaveral. From this unlikely place is some of the most amazing engineering on the planet, where enormous rockets are assembled and launched, to further our horizons in exploration to new frontiers and to provide support to our tiny planet from above.

Today's journey takes me from Orlando out to Cape Canaveral where I explore the Kennedy Space Centre musuem before being taken on a bus tour around the launch pads. Before returning to the museum, I am taken to another area where a Saturn V Rocket and many artefacts from the Apollo space program are stored. From there I return to the main museum and back to Orlando and continue heading south towards Miami.
